After 4 months of pondering - the Bridesmaids Dresses are ordered!

When I started the planning process of the wedding, one of the most important elements was what the bridesmaids were going to wear. I really felt like their dresses tied the look of the wedding together. I wanted in the navy blue dresses with a sash or hint of champange somewhere. We searched all over Cleveland looking for the right dresses. My bridesmaids, like everyone else's, have very different figures. I wanted to find a style that would look good on everyone, and everyone would feel comfortable.

We started at Catan's:

These had the look we were going for, but just didn't work.

We all loved this one, but though it might be too airy for a November wedding. (Love Ashley's face in this one ;) )

The we looked at David's Bridal - with no luck

On a whim, my mom and I stopped in The Perfect Bride in Rocky River while we were shopping in Beachcliff one day. The service I received and the quality of the dresses was exactly what I was looking for. Carly, manager, was so attentive and gave us dresses to try on we would probably would have overlooked. After a long day of my little sister, MOH, being a trooper and trying on dress after dress, we finally chose this:

(not my sister, but you get the idea)

I was sold. I loved this dress. I thought it looked good on everyone. But then I made the mistake (well maybe not mistake now) of going back and looking again. They had gotten in a new dress - and it was exactly what I had been looking for.
Now introducing the dress I choose for my girls :) It is Jim Helm Occassions Dress. It will be champagne on top and midnight blue on the bottom. (the bottom in this picture is shown in black)

The Dress!!!
Oh yeah, there's pockets
Emma, MOH, being silly
I couldn't be happier with the dresses, and that I FINALLY made a decision.

Introducing our Blog

So facebook, twittering and blogging are all the rage for everyone these days. Why not have a blog for our wedding?

With that said.... Welcome to our Wedding Blog.

Over the next six months, yes we only have six months left (!!), I will be posting updates to our journey. What is working for us, what isn't, new ideas, etc. Maybe Mike will even make a guest appearance every now and then, he is the other part of our duo :)

Stay tuned... more information to come about our November wedding and the joys of planning such an event
